On June 15th, the 31st edition of the Foundation des Ancien.ne.s du CMR Ex-Cadet Foundation’s golf tournament was held at the Club de golf de la Vallée des Forts, under the presidency of Mrs Pascale Tremblay, Chief Assets Officer, Innergex énergie renouvelable.
The 116 players, including several dignitaries (Colonel Gaétan Bédard, Commandant of CMR, Mr. Steve Hétu, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation du Fort St-Jean, 4377 LGen (ret.) Richard Évraire, former CMR commandant), played in ideal weather conditions; donors to the Foundation (11623 John Carswell of CANSO and 11694 Luc Maurice of Groupe Maurice were major sponsors), and for the first time we had a photobooth, sponsored by 17147 Earle Hall, AXES. Many alumni (including 14835 MGen (Ret. ) Eric Tremblay, 20202 Frederic Chapleau, 18685 Pierre Lalancette and Philippe Ouellette of Pratt & Whitney; 14681 Marc Bigaouette,14725 Donald Falardeau, 15377 Yves Létourneau, 14282 Michel Lacroix of Bell Helicopter Textron; family and friends enjoyed the tournament.
The 31st edition raised $40,000, a record! In addition to the registrations, the silent auction also contributed to the profits. In fact, several beautiful prizes were sold, including a week in a condo in Tremblant, a donation from 11734 Serge Wong, 2 nights at the house of 11620 François Bureau in Tremblant, an inflatable padel board, courtesy of Mario Héroux from Sports Experts of Saint-Jean, and many others that delighted the takers. The funds raised will be used to support the Foundation's projects, including the Saint-Maurice Project ( https://fondation-anciens.com/en/saint-maurice-project ).
