It was in 2012, as part of CMR's 60th anniversary, at the request of LGen (retired), the Honourable Roméo Dallaire, that this project was born, to honor the College's first Commandant, Colonel Louis Marcellin Lahaie, who was also a gunner. He provided the sword, the Foundation paid for the display and the Museum provided the replica medals and project management. All of this is on display at the Lahaie Pavilion.
