Thanks to the funds raised by the 1964 entry class at CMR Saint-Jean, and with the help of the Corporation du Fort St-Jean, the Fort Saint-Jean Museum has a square in the shape of the second French fort of 1748, just in front of the entrance. A cannon 24-pound Howitzer from 1841 decorates the façade and a commemorative plaque is installed. The official opening of the museum in the Vieilles Forges building took place during a ceremony on May 15, 2016.
